Harold Essien Retained for 22/23

The Lions are delighted to announce our Third signing for the 2022/23 season. We have mutually agreed to retain the services of Defender Harold Essien, keeping him at SSV for another season.

Essien, a former Middlesbrough FC youth team player, played 13 times for Town in the 21/22 North West Counties First Division South season and picking up 2 Man of the Match awards as well.

Paul Turnbull, Stockport Town FC Manager said on the news "I am pleased that Harold has agreed to re-sign for the forthcoming season. Harold has showed that he has the ability to perform at this level and we look forward to working with Harold and developing his performances in the coming season "

Harold spoke of his excitement having extended his stay at Town "I am excited to stay at Town for the new season and working with the Management to help me improve my performances"
