Linnets Game Nominated as Charity Day in Memory of Andy Burr

We are delighted to announce that our Home Pre Season Game against Runcorn Linnets on 16th July at SSV has been nominated as our newly introduced, yearly Andy Burr Memorial Fixture. 16th July would have been Andy's Birthday and we are delighted that all Town fans, players and staff can celebrate his Birthday at Stockport Sports Village.

Andy was a longstanding supporter of Stockport Town Football Club, who along with Judith and their family loved watching The Lions take to the pitch.

In Andy's memory we will be holding a Charity Collection on the day and all proceeds from the collection will be going to Widowed & Young. A fantastic charity that offer bereavement support in the UK for people aged Under 50. Judith Burr, Andy's widow said " Widowed & Young have massively supported me over the past few years since Andy sadly passed away, the charity offers support online or in person for anyone Widowed under 50. I can't thank them enough for everything they have done for me"
